hover over image to zoom

A handsome pair of brass and iron andirons with multi knopped uprights finials.

American, New York, circa 1830.

Many features of these andirons suggest an attribution to Edward Smylie, New York brass founder at the corner of Pike and Henry Streets from 1817.
